Super 8 Memory Films (“we”, “us”) is a small filmmaking studio in Los Angeles, California, run by Anastasia and Ivan Prostiakov. This policy explains what personal information we collect through super8memoryfilms.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • What you send us. When you fill out our inquiry form, we receive your name and email address and, if you choose to share them, your phone number, the package and type of film you are interested in, your preferred date, your neighborhood or city, how you heard about us, a referral code and your message. If you email us or message us on Instagram, we receive what you send there.
  • Newsletter sign-up. If you tick “Sign up for news and updates” on the form, your name and email address are added to our mailing list.
  • Booking and delivery. If you book a session, we keep the details needed to plan it and to deliver your film. Payments are made through a secure card payment link from a third-party payment provider; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Website usage. Like most websites, ours collects basic technical information through cookies and similar technologies — for example the pages you visit, your device and browser type, and your approximate location.

How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry, plan your session and deliver your film.
  • To send occasional news, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To understand how our website is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
  • To protect our website and inquiry form from spam and abuse.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

  • Squarespace. Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies to run the site and to give us visitor statistics.
  • Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors arrive from our Instagram and Facebook ads and to show our ads to people who may be interested in them.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. Our inquiry form is protected by reCAPTCHA, a Google service that checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Vimeo and Google Fonts. Our films play in embedded Vimeo players, and our typeface is loaded from Google Fonts. These services receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, when they load.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage your ad preferences in your Meta account settings.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our studio — website hosting, forms and mailing list (Squarespace), email (Google), video hosting (Vimeo), film delivery (Google Drive), card payments, spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) and advertising measurement (Meta) — and only as needed for those services, or when required by law.

Your films

We share a film or stills from your session in our portfolio or ads only with your permission.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to work with you and to meet our legal and tax obligations, and then delete it.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email hello@super8memoryfilms.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
